It's come to my attention that people read my posts and care about what I say sometimes.
Let's play with that!
Toki Pona is a constructed language. It's apparently very simple, and has a limited vocabulary. The philosophy of the language is all about accepting that context is important to what you say, and basically is a language based on vibes.
Basically, you wouldn't ever write a legal document, or give a police report in Toki Pona because in a vacuum, you're gonna' tell people that grandma was food, rather than she was eating.
I've opened a room in my discord's learning subsection for it if you're a patron and haven't checked recently.
Here's a video series.

Here's an official website for the language:

Here's other materials. There's more out there. There's apparently a bunch of people learning this for fun. Ourselves now included.

Wobbly... Why? This seems like effort. Why not learn a real language? Something full of cultural baggage, a rich history, and millions of years of developed nuance okay actually I can see maybe why a goofy caveman grunting language might be fun instead.
1: Dog, we're getting old. Might as well learn a funny caveman language before we all die of capitalism.
2: Mental elasticity is nice. A lot of us are Unilingual Americans and frankly, learning the easiest possible conlang would probably help you break your brain-chains and finally make the duoLingo owl happy with your attempts to learn Portuguese or something.
3: We are all entering into a secret club. We can Toki Pona at cons. We can Toki Pona on the bus. We can Toki Pona and find other Jan Pona in the wild, but only if we can Toki Pona ourselves.
4: It sounds like a really fun thing to do while I'm delirious with fever. ( am sick)
