Thanks to Bethesda and Keymailer for giving me a key! Please enjoy this first look.
So my computer for the last decade, before the current one. Had a 128GB SSD and a supporting HDD.
When it went tits up I salvaged the drives, but I realized tonight while looking at a shelf that my SSD was ON THE SHELF. So popping open my PC I've discovered that there's actually two HDDs of considerable mass nestled in there.
So I have unboxed and installed a brand new 1TB SSD just for Starfield bless this precious poorly loading baby.
So I've been running literally all of my streaming rig stuff off of an HDD with no trouble until Starfield. So I still think that it's an absolute bananas crazy silly requirement borne of bad system resource allocation, but I gotta' admit we were running the game under-spec.
I've just finished moving the game over to the SSD proper now and if it runs smooth tonight we'll burn RPG thursday playing Starfield properly.
If not we'll play Skyrim.
Gonna' be about 15 but we're gonna' give starfield another look. Turns out we were running it under specifications in the stupidest way imaginable. http://twitch.tv/wobblypython
