hi. i had a stupid idea that i can't get out of my head. a joke romhack where there are only swords. instead of sword, axe, lance you have thrusting swords, slashing swords, smashing swords. thrusting swords would give a boost to evasion, slashing swords would give a boost to crit, and smashing swords would be stronger and heavier. there is no magic, only magic swords and they would be uncommon but powerful. bows? no. you have bags of shitty swords that you throw. there would be lots of stupid swords with silly effects like a very long sword that would get a bonus if you're a mounted unit. and the lord's late game prf weapon: a mysterious weapon known as a lance that is strong against all swords for some reason. the antagonist would be a powerful wizard who can cast Sword.
i just wanted to put this idea in text form so i can get it out there. maybe someday i will have the extra time and energy needed to commit to making this silly idea a reality.
