Waypoint is the latest victim to journalism being screwed by algorithms and billionaires not getting the ROI they feel they deserve. Really feels like we are accelerating towards a news media collapse. Both online and paper journalism have taken beatings, and the decline doesn't feel like it's slowing down.
Edit: Read this month old story this morning but yeah, it's kinda dystopic how much regional journalism has kind of tanked, even in markets with a population to sustain it.
