The first major climate caused crisis is probably gonna hit this summer on the Pakistan-India Border, an area of the world known for its stability and geniality /s.
Also, food for thought, the only reason the Southeastern US hasn't had a Wet Bulb crisis event is that we have sufficient air conditioning. If something were to take out power for a significant period of time, say a hurricane hitting a central power node, we would quickly have areas on the gulf coast almost become unlivable over night.
We are hitting a dew point of 75 this week all along the coast and in several major cities.
If you live on the Gulf Coast like I do, avoid going outside if you can this week. This also applies to your pets; keep them indoors. If you're hot, they're hot. I just hope the grid will be able to handle the load of everyone's air-conditioning set to max.
Not quite, but pretty dang close. Our temps got so hot today in my neck of the woods that the heat index went into the ultraviolet scale cause they ran out of colors.
Totally normal event here folks, nothing to see. Just your everyday climate apocalypse.
