Sure! I just don't want to make it public at 2 AM due to the (potentially misguided) rumor that that's a bad time to release a YouTube video versus around the afternoon. (This also may just be outdated info, or even just hearsay about how the algorithm works! Having a video's success determined by a black box of recommendations is probably a bad system!)
But regardless, consider the video effectively released even if it isn't public unless someone finds an egregious error somewhere in there I haven't spotted yet.
Do you know if views during the unlisted period "count" for YT's algorithm? If not I'd rather wait to watch it until it pops up in my sub box
can't watch the full thing at this exact moment, but popping it open and caught that Descent 3 is mentioned, hell yeah. Looking forward to checking this out in its entirety.
holy shit let's go, I saw 1999 and thought "naw he probably won't bring it up" and I'm hype to be wrong
I don't blame you! It's very rarely mentioned at all (despite how often its predecessors are discussed); I'm just happy it was remembered at all
As someone whose FPS experience basically starts and ends with "Goldeneye when I was like, 10" and TimeSplitters 2, I've really enjoyed this series and I'm glad to see it back. I'm sure these must be a monstrous amount of work, but every time I see an hour+ deep dive into a given year's titles I do the sickos face at my phone.
i never played unreal tournament (or anything from that franchise, or doom or quake...) but i spent hundreds of hours playing overwatch. so hearing you describe that game was uncanny. thank you for the latest installment in this insightful tour through the past
