Basically, Intel may have been gaslighting everyone about how overclockers were over taxing their processors, now we are seeing 13th and 14th gen processors on server boards failing. Server boards with specs that prevent overclocks from occurring. Specifically, this is most affecting high end enthusiast chips (13900K and 14900K) that are used in Top-of-the-Line Workstations or Servers with needs for single core tasks, but a lower failure rate is affecting even the i7 series as well, if recent posts by developers are to be believed.
If you are a gamedev with access to crash data I think it would be a public good to release it to increase the data pool. This is gonna be a crazy story.
