I honestly had a lot of fun when I went Linux for a while back around 2010, because I could customize all kinds of stuff that Windows doesn't let you.
Unfortunately I wanted playing games to be "easy" so I gave it all up. It might be easier now to play the stuff I want to play in Linux but my brain is now old and tired and I don't think I've got it in me to redo everything again.
linux is good, but there were always one or two programs that i use all the time that straight up Did Not Work, so i was booting into windows all of the time anyway.
some things had alternatives or workarounds, but if the only answer to "how do i use on linux" is "use a different program" (which it was in this case. i saw one comment that was just like "why are you using ? use this open source alternative") then ://
I've dipped in and out of Linux a fair bit - and yeah it's always "well I can't because thing xyz doesn't work nice there" whether that's games or my favourite music player or whatever. The temptation is always there to give it another try though
i was on linux for two years and now i've switched back to windows for vr and the windows doesn't work right. i'm so used to linux now that i immediately notice the things i lose by switching back.
when you switch operating systems, you lose some things. hopefully the benefits would outweigh the losses but it really depends on how you use a computer.
Yeah.. Is why I use Linux nowadays, and with most games working quite well, I don't need windows
Though I am also fairly lucky to not need certain windows software like MS Office, or Photoshop..
