Demon who treats eternal damnation as more of an extended therapy session.

It's more of the extended play session.
The living realm is just the chargen room for the rest of eternity. You get your random rolls, you get the stuff you're stuck with, you spend a lifetime doing personal development, then when you die you get to look at it with some outside perspective and decide what you're going to do with this character that is yourself. The person that you've developed in your mortal lifetime. That's the decision before you hit the crossroads. Move on and build your eternal you, or reset and go again?

Do you move on and complete your design? Spec out your physical characteristics, occupation, affiliation, et cetera? After all, you've cleared the base version by doing a lifetime on the dice roll. You get a free redesign that keeps all your stats and stuff and lets you step into eternity with yourself built out how you like. Species, gender, affiliation, it's all in the options. Don't see an option you like? Make a new option. Just want to pass through and go to your paradise with your god? Have at it, kid. It's your eternity. Just remember once you step into their eternity it's their rules.

Or do you reincarnate and try for a better roll? Remember, you can reincarnate as many times as you like but it's a full wipe and fresh start every time. No memory, not even when you come back here. You could already be a reincarnation and not even know it. Keep in mind as well, it can take close to a hundred years to complete an attempt. High stakes.

If I'm being honest, probably three quarters of folks take what they've got and move on to the next step. They're good with what they have, but every last one of them gets the option just the same. If you ask me, the mortal round is tough but you're better off seeing it through and coming out the other end with max stats. Sure, my life was rough and it was cut short but here I am doing just fine.
I could've gone on and been with the god of my ancestors but let's be real, I passed up on that while I was still alive. I'd rather hang out here with the damned. You don't have to take my word for it though, after all I'm just an office assistant.

Ask Clarity, the asexual succubus a question. A personal question, a question about herself, or about the workings of the underworld. Ask her opinion, ask for advice like one of those newspaper columns of yore. Ask her an open-ended question or a rhetorical one. Pick the brain of the eminently practical, perfectly capable right-hand girl who loves and works for a local regional Queen of hell.

Asks are on, anon asks are off on but you have to be logged in to prevent abuse. If you want your question to appear anon, say so and the responding post will be formatted as so. 18+ asks are okay, but remember you are asking the character not the author. You may receive coy non-answers to lewd questions.
Please frame your question as one for her, or it may be answered by a very confused cat.
Go see my asexual succubus chronicles tag for a little more reading on the character, if you like.
Good questions may spawn flash fiction.
If there's a lot of interest I might start a character blog specifically for it.
