uhh ok intro post time!! hello I'm snail legs, you can call me alex or snail! my pronouns are he/him

I draw! mostly concept art (it's my fulltime job rn, I'm under an NDA, this is why I don't post much), but when I can muster up the time and energy I make comics, zines, and OC art!

here's some oc art I started this week :) a sketch of a character studying a wyvern from behind a tree as it lands in a field

you can find more of my stuff on my webbed site: https://snail-legs.co.uk/

Yippee so glad to see you finally post! I had no idea you were a concept artist; that's crazy. I thought you'd be a professional coder, tbh haha. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get a concept art job? Those are so hard to come by, and they're usually designated for artists with more realistic art styles, based on my observation. Also, I really love this sketch. The composition is excellent 👌

aaa thanks!! I was waiting for my account to be activated and then it was, and I realised I didn't know what to post hdkjghsklhdgf. but yee, I got my current job after doing a work placement for the company in college - the style of the game itself is actually more cartoony than my regular/personal style is, so it's a good enough fit for me. also, based on the job listings I've seen for game art roles, the styles they want depend on the direction they're going for with the project in general! I think indie studios are less likely to be going for realism than AAA ones tho
