notes:
- this uses the client IP to track votes, so if you change devices (or wait a while in most cases) you could potentially vote again
- this uses css background image loading as a way to make requests (thanks @lexi for the inspiration)
- *please be gentle with the polls, if they are abused (or if @staff does not like them!) i will have to disable them
- tag your polls with #polls or reply/share with them if you want me to see!
- edit: i did set it up in the backend so that these could have an expiration, but i haven't added it to the creation form yet. maybe it won't be so bad?
- edit 2: if it's not clear, I don't store the actual choice text, which is intentional. this was intended to store as little user info as possible (a poll is just an id, a choice count, and some timestamps)
