* with a lot of help from my housemate, who probably did more of the work than I did tbh.
So what you can't see in this picture is that there is a giant fucking platform built under this sofa. It's mostly a couple of Kallaxs (Ikea shelves) - 2 1x1s on the side I sit on for more support, a 2x1 on the other corner - with some 12mm wood either side to frame it, and then wheels beneath that. So I guess I have more storage now!
The problem with that is that the seat of the sofa comes up to my waist. I have to climb on the bed to then vault myself over to the sofa. Also my DDR mat can't fit in my room any more, but honestly, I might not need a bed any more with this here. :')
Computer chairs aren't designed for people using their computers pretty much all day - they're typically designed for capitalism and keeping you focused on what's in front of you, and sometimes I just wanna chill in call with friends - so I planned out this whole thing about a year ago. The plan was a 2-seater sofa but I found this for under £100, including delivery, and I couldn't say no. Now just to get some kind of decent desk extension for the mouse/keyboard to go on. :')
