uhhhh new cohost use unlocked? not sure how regularly i'll do this but i feel like doing it for this game!

today i started playing a game called "Hue". it's a game where you change the world's colour in order to solve puzzles! i picked it up from steam for free a couple months ago when i was in the mood for a cozy indie game and never ended up playing it until now. it's very cute! :)
i thought it would be a chill game but some of the timing puzzles are actually a little bit intense!! ...or maybe they felt that way because i was trying to crab claw my fingers around the keyboard? my hands started cramping from the default control layout so i had to change it.
if you try playing this game without a controller or mouse, do NOT use a laptop trackpad!!! reassign the colour wheel key to a button! trust me. i also recommend putting the movement keys on the opposite side of the keyboard as your interact & colour keys. you can definitely play this game with one hand if you really wanted to but your wrist might start feeling stiff after a little while.
anyways. then i had to stop playing anyways because my computer got scared and went down to 1fps.

(definitely my transformer tablet's fault and not the game having an fps dip btw. i just thought it was funny.)
it's neat though! reviews were saying it was boring and that the colour puzzles don't get too intricate, but there's honestly already more than i thought there would be. the bits of lore are interesting too. not sure if i will complete it 100% because i'm not sure if i'm in the mood to backtrack in this game but i'm excited to see the rest of it!
i think i found this game when i was looking at games that people with motion sickness and light sensitivity were recommending? i don't think this game really scratches that itch for me - the game uses neon colours (not that i expected anything different) and doesn't have an option to turn down the saturation (there IS a colourblind mode though, so that's awesome!). there are also a lot of boulder and crusher puzzles that make my heart race a little bit. but i still like it. a nice game if you want a short puzzle platformer.
