Anyway I’m still playing like a dragon 5, despite everything, I’m near the end of it

I’m Ruby。 I’m roughly 20 apples tall

I drew my profile pic and banner. The gameplay in the banner is from dragon quest 1 for game boy that I recorded myself.

This was finally the post that led me to go “wait there’s no fucking way Yakuza: Like a Dragon already had 4 sequels” and actually look this up and realize they just changed the name of the whole series in English at some point… that was almost a nice way to be able to tell which protagonist was going to be headlining a game lol
So what are we doing about Yakuza: Like a Dragon specifically? What the heck was that titled in Japanese, I can’t even dig that out of the Wikipedia article
Huh. Well alright then, complaints withdrawn. They really sounded like they were making a sub series or something but if this is just the continuation of the series and that was just a joke played on English speakers I guess that’s fine lol
They made it Yakuza: Like a Dragon, to familiarize people with the brand “like a dragon” ahead of the actual title change for the series, the title is now more closely resembling the Japanese name, and their reasoning is because they want to tell more stories with the series outside of just yakuza power struggles
I’d argue they really could have just gone with Like a Dragon moving forward with the same effect, in fact I thought they had based on the recent announcements lol
But hey this works too tbh
And idk I’d translate lad 7 title as something like “where light and dark are going”
Maybe even, where light and dark meet/are, dunno, the word in the title has two meanings lol
“Where light and dark confluesce”
“Dude that’s not even a word”
“It’s supposed to be the verb form of ‘confluence’”
“It’s the verb form of ‘confluescence’ which also isn’t a word”
“Whatever English is dumb anyway”
