oh!!! it's these great series of Japanese horror films by director Kōji Shiraishi who also stars in them as the camera man, basically this paranormal investigation team accepts video submissions from people who've recorder supernatural phenomenon and then the team goes out with the witnesses to the scene of the event and then like, makes things worse? it's very funny and charming and I love the, however they're mostly untranslated, I've been watching them in Japanese without subtitles!

Makes me think of a series of videogames with a similar premise (I think they were on Vita and recently rereleased on Switch), I was pretty excited until I read they won't be translated either.
Seems they don't think the genre has much potential in the West for some reason. I'd say it does, sounding like an extreme version of early X-Files.
