同ZINE // douZINE is a zine with five indie/doujin games from Japan!

Get Issue #0 HERE!

We wanted to highlight a zine/bundle of indie games curated by a server member – @npckc – and Nice Gear Games!

同ZINE is a project highlighting indie game developers in Japan. While it's rare for such games to cross the language barrier, each game is playable in Japanese and English, and features a range of projects made with doujin and indie spirit.

All devs are paid a flat fee, as well as an equal percentage of sales. Supporting them will fund the creation of further games, and also future issues! They're currently at 70% of their funding goal; please consider spreading the word so they can reach 100%!

同ZINE comes with five games:

Mimi and animals, by Hidebu Games

A girl is in a shop with a goose. The shop has barrels, crates, and a shop clerk who's reading a book. The shop is near the sea.

タヌキくんの春さんぽ / Tanuki's Spring Walk by さとやまのおと / satoyama note

A tanuki and a fox prepare a meal together.

鳥獣妖怪戯画 / Choju Yokai Giga by Nice Gear Games

A shrine maiden and bunny rabbits fight yokais under the moonlight

わだつみのこだま / Resonance of the Ocean by Image Labo

A person stares into the ocean. They're standing a top of a cliff, with a lighthouse and other buildings behind them.

Hi! Thank you for promoting 同ZINE. Just wanted to point out that npckc was not the sole organizer and curator for Issue #0, this was a collaborative project with Nice Gear Games of nicegear.games. Although we left the 同ZINE project after Issue #0, it is important to credit us with doing half the work on this anthology!

Hey! Sorry to hear that. I didn’t know about certain organizational matters related to the zine; we have added you to the post. We typically run posts like this by the server member it’s about. Looking into this to determine where the breakdown in communication happened.

Thanks for bringing this up. Appreciate the work you did to make this project happen, and wish you the best.
