After talking extensively with my wife and family, I am going to study abroad for a year in Japan as early as late next year. How am I going to do this? Good question! I’m going to be researching scholarships and opportunities for me to do this over the next few weeks so that I can develop a game plan. I’ve been mulling over this for about a year now after my Japanese professor in 101 pulled me aside to convince me to go spend a year studying in Japan because he said he can tell I’m serious about the language. I’m convinced now. I’m going to fly to another country and live there for a year and hopefully I don’t throw up or shit my pants in the process.
