Twitter is mass banning/locking the accounts of Japanese users right now for… posting how Japanese Twitter users post… using lots of hashtags… links… daily phrases they use for their contents themes… because it’s “bot behavior”

honestly a tonn of people constantly conflate "uses social media/the internet in a different way from me" with "bot behavior"
all the time you'll see lists of archetypal bot behavior that's really just actually describing old people, and conversely you'll also often see boomers normies calling terminally online millennials bots for absolutely confounding reasons.
I knew this American egotist debacle would start sucking the life out of foreign language communities, just a matter of time
