Optimistically nihilistic. Likes jetpacks. Flying solo for now, but a co-pilot would be nice.
Follow me on Bluesky if you actually want to keep up with me.
Long live Bionicle.

I recently got the following thing in a promo mail from the Lego store in France.

Not sure if they resurrected the line recently or if it's just a little bonus thing (for spending a whole lot[checked it again, 220€, lol]).
I must have one Bionicle (a grey guy with huge digging claws) or maybe two (but I don't remember what it would be) but also one toy from a similar line that came a year or two before and had throwing disks that they also sold in blind booster packs. That really didn't last long compared to Bionicles.
Oh yeah I remember those! They were literally the precursor to Bionicle, kind of a light bulb moment for the company when they realized they could capitalize on the collect-em-all craze of the time.
Yup! Throwbots (Slizers outside of North America) were what I had before Bionicle. I remember having a whole bunch of those sets back in the day. They were fun.
They did a special Tahu and Takua set earlier this year as a celebration of both Bionicle and Lego as a whole, but it was only obtainable through the online LEGO store as a gift when you purchase $100. I got mine on eBay after the fact for twice as much as its original $17 price, but it's still worth it to me.
