the Catgirl Machine is:

  • open to all, physically and legally
  • easy to maintain
  • even easier to modify

it's about as simple to tweak as the Calvin Transmogrifier; all you really need to do is make some sort of meaningful change (turn it on its side, fill it with water, plug your laptop into it to change an .ini file, etc) and it can do what you want! within reason!

just be sure not to leave the door unlocked when you're not around

turns out mice aren't actually that much into cheese, but they will eat it if it's there, as it's a pretty good source of what they need to sustain themselves. even BETTER sources, however, are peanut butter and (for some reason) chips??

my mom always used to catch mice with chips—who knows why it was so effective, but it was!

(only cartoon mice will espouse the shape of cartoon cheese; you kinda need both consumer and product to share the same state for shape to transfer)

that story idea is still in the works!! I just need to get comfortable enough writing actual literal sex scenes haha

...though if anything's gonna do it, it just might be the current literary brainworms that have been holding my creative drive hostage for the past two months...

what's your workflow look like when writing? are there parts you write first, or others that come last?

I usually write chronologically, but in multiple passes:

  1. first, I write a big bullet-point list of story beats, which I then split up and delve deeper into if necessary by going down the bullet point tree
  2. then I'll sit down at my desk, stare down at the floor on one side (usually to the left of me) and then vividly hallucinate the scene I want to write
  3. and then I write what I experienced! sometimes it makes me cry if the scene was intense enough emotionally

I've started working with editors, beta readers and consultants, which have made my work incredibly better. it does result in multiple passes, where I go back to specific scenes and expand or rewrite them, sometimes with a bit more Step 2 thrown in if I need to!

is that normal
