I've been working on the Parahuman Space/Para-Imperium universe for over ten years, starting with "The Pride of Parahumans", which was published by Thurston Howl Publications in 2017.
The Pride of Parahumans (2017) takes place in the asteroid belt of Earth's Solar System in the near future, in the aftermath of a revolt by genetically engineered "parahumans" created by terrestrial corporations as asteroid miners. A non-binary silver fox working as a biotechnician works to give their clade a future.
Tales of the Para-Imperium (2019) is a collection of short stories previously published on my blogs and SoFurry roughly covering the next two thousand years of the setting as parahumanity spreads out through space, establishing an imperialistic "Federation" that gives the setting its name.
Horizon: Salvaged Heroes (2021-current) is a web serial that was originally hosted on Amazon's Kindle Vella before I quit the program due to their corporate policies. It takes place after the Federation's collapse, when planets and star systems are trying to rebuild. A group of salvagers in one of the less fortunate systems stumbles upon a Federation remnant's super soldier project and are augmented against their will, essentially becoming superheroes (and/or villains).
