money was not meant to be negative

I know this is a meme, but... my limited understanding is actually that money was literally created in service of debts, like, all the way back in the first states. But I need to get further into my reading list to feel confident in that.

you could be right. the common understanding of history is often wrong. but i'm not curious enough to watch a video. if you had a link to something written that i could skim then i might bite.
