I used to draw a lot. I might even draw again someday.
I saw a post from some larger artist about how Cohost and Itaku are ghost towns because there isn't a community of lurkers.
Something about it upset it me. It's like they don't actually want any part in actually making an alternative.
Like bruh, you have to watch others and support each other. You can't outsource your validation to anonymous lurkers and expect that to feel fulfilling.
I dunno what I'm talking about really. But something about it really upset me. Figured I'd vent

What got to me is that, yeah I get the criticism going towards Itaku, but Cohost? Cohost isn't just an art site. On my SFW I see a lot of blogs and gamedev stuff. There are new posts and engagements all the time. I feel like people just aren't used to seeking out content
right! there's a learned passivity with content. Its supposed to be presented to them in the form on trends and stuff.
