Tumblr - Optimal for shitposting, highest discoverability, but also has the longest memory. Very easy to see the same content for years. Maybe you find endurance endearing?

cohost - Best for long form content, especially if you can direct people here from elsewhere. Unfortunately discoverability for long form content is very low and you're not going to get much mileage out of a hashtag like "writing" unless you're pointing at a very specific community, which is unfortunate. Poor discoverability for original content is one of the things driving the fandomification of the internet, as people who want to do artistic things have to shove themselves into the intellectual property their audience is already invested in.

Mastodon - While not great for SWers (nothing is, we're increasingly living in an age of banking censorship), it is pretty great for being blatantly horny. It's also pretty good for distributing news and quick information bursts. Discoverability isn't as low as it seems at first glance, but it is narrow, and the lack of quote tweets, (which were created for a reason), makes it better communities that want to revolve around a small number of big accounts.

(As an aside, there are better ways to fix the problems associated with quote tweets other than removing them, such as making them cotoots where the OP has to sign off, or always keeping the OP
