I think you should read it if you're on "the left" in the US. Trust me on this one, it's good. The lens it gives you in the last third is important.

thanks for sharing this. i hadn't read this particular article, even as a leftist living in atlanta at the time, when my partner had had tortuguita in their social circle
it's very helpful having concrete examples of what widespread activism can look like, especially in the wake of an event that left many people i know scared of being outright murdered by cops
