how good are yinglets at swimming? zhey are supposed to go in zhe water for clams and stuff, but how well could zhey actually swim? i assume it must be decent enough?
actually, would zhey snake in zhe water? wiggling for propulsion?
they wiggle through the water, their long bodies are pretty good at both staying streamlined and also getting some power on the surface, like that. they also kick their four hands under the water to get some extra power, sometimes, but it's more for steering than for faster movement. they often tuck their limbs in close when trying to move fast
they're adapted for ambush predator strategies, floating on the surface of the water, eyes partly submerged (their eyes are waterproof and good at repelling or fighting off the various things that might be in their home swamp's waters). they can see about as well underwater as above, too. so overall, yeah, pretty good!
