I've thought about something similar, where you are told to purposefully fail at stuff. Fail that test, don't apply for that internship, screw up repeatedly at your job, loose that game, all on purpose. Because someone like you shouldn't be successful in life, you should stay pathetic and worthless, just how your dom likes you. I always imagined it in the context of a gifted student submitting to a dom who rewards them for purposefully failing important tests and for skipping assignments, or maybe something milder like a dom telling their sub to always throw matches in a video game they like.
