I feel like having a mouse in one hand and a Wii nunchuk type device in the other could be a very cool way to control a video game

Strong agree; I've always wanted to try a control scheme like this but it's very tough to get working
you could actually move analog-ly in a shooter while still having mouse aim! and steer a car!
