It's just an approach that neglects all political context. British nationalism is different from Indian nationalism. Canadian nationalism is different from Mi'kmaw nationalism. Spanish nationalism is different from Mexican nationalism is different from Mayan nationalism etc. etc.

And it's more complicated than just lumping them into "good" or "bad" categories. At the end of the day you can't get around looking at the particular situation of a nation and its political identification.

Not an expert or anything, just something that bugs me
