I know that people seem to be really keen on FSR and DLSS, and these upscaling technologies seem to generally work well, but I'd be lying if I said I don't have a kneejerk anti-AI response to the stuff. Y'know, the idea of having this algorithm generate information that's not personally authored.
I guess the difference is like, if you interpolate a hand-animated movie to 48 or 60 fps you're kind of smearing out an artistic work where every frame was specifically authored and intended, whereas I guess in a 3D video game you're already viewing authored material filtered through a computer model to account for perspective. idk! I'm very far from an expert on this stuff
