Motherfuckers are really not putting headphone jacks in their shit any more huh? Fucking sucks. I was thinking about maybe getting a Pixel 8 because my carrier has a pretty good deal on it with a 2 year plan and 7 years of software support sounds GREAT but the combination of no 3.5mm jack, no sd card slot, and google apparently trying to push generative AI into every aspect of their phone's design is definitely not appealing.
Now I'm looking at maybe getting a OnePlus Nord N30 because it's not super expensive, has a 3.5mm jack and a microSD slot, and seems to generally not suck. But the fact that it's only being updated until 2026 isn't great and I'm a liiiiittle worried that buying a cheap phone means I'm more likely to be generating additional e-waste. I'm not a fan of this whole process tbh
