y'know I'm fine with wearing earplugs but I do wish it was normalized for live music to be at volumes below permanent hearing damage level. I really think a decent chunk of why this persists is that a lot of avid concertgoers are desensitized and have partial hearing loss and thus need higher volumes to get the same satisfaction out of music
