completely awestruck. so many things left my head spinning but I think the elegance of the introduction is really worth noting. we see the intrusion of the motor into the paradise of the green place, we see furiosa's mother embrace the motor in order to defend her home from it, and we see furiosa wake to the thrum of the motorcycle's engine, practically inside it, we can almost smell the fumes through the screen. and from that moment we and furiosa are ripped away from our idealized state of nature and baptized into the world of bullets, gas, and chrome
