If someone were to do this for real (which they obviously shouldn't) I think you'd get more accurate results if you also input the birth year of that person, since in my experience I think trans people have a tendency to pick names that weren't as popular when they were born (I didn't know a single Clara growing up, for example, but a lot of people in my grade had my deadname as their first name)

good point yeah. i was thinking recently that based on my experience, trans people often go with names that are popular when they chose a name, rather than names that were popular back when they were born, which leads to a lot of trans boomers born in the 60s with names popular in the 80s like Heather, or a lot of modern trans zoomers probably have names that are recently popular baby names like Olivia or Ada or Ava or Liam or Sophia

Funnily, my middle name is basically just a gender flip of my deadname's middle name, not in a literal sense but rather swapping my Pop-pop's name for my Nana Bridie's name (Bridget, which totally didn't originally enter the running because Bridget's GGST theme is what broke my egg, nope, definitely not). Not a lot of Bridgets my age, though, at least not around here
