I was out feeding a couple of the usual blue jays when this soft little friend appeared! I've seen this bunny wander through the yard now and then (always at a distance), but this time it walked right up to me. It clearly used to be a pet - the wild cottontails I used to see around were visibly different and wouldn't let you within twenty feet of them. It was very friendly until a palm frond dropped nearby and scared it away, but I left some lettuce and a jar lid full of water.
