Today it's the onion that is the Black Sarena, from the much maligned Nadesico film! Regardless of feelings on the film I adore this bulky design. Of course, it's bulky because it's a robot that is wearing a robot, and also, it has a high mobility pack, which means, it's a robot wearing a robot that can wear even more parts. eh, i still feel like the nadesico movie kinda whips and the Black Sarena owns, especially its HACKER TAIL.
sure, it's edgy to the degree that it doesn't really have the comedy going, but i feel like It's Fine, if you take it as it's own thing in the same universe rather than going into it expecting it to be three more episodes of nadesico in a trenchcoat
I still need to watch it! I mostly know of it through reputation because every time it pops up in a game rather than the show itself I know that people complain but I only know what I've been able to glean from its appearances in games and how people talk about it rather than firsthand experience.
eh, that's more warranted because seeing 'nadesico' and going 'oh boy!!! i cant wait for CROSS CRASH!' and then reading '... The Movie' ends up with it feeling like the rug got pulled out from under you because it's so incredibly different tonally.
