I got into a discussion about alt-folk music, and because genre is fake its largely turned into everyone naming all their favorite folk-adjacent bands and artists. I've forgotten so many high school favorites... Sea Wolf, Iron & Wine, The Violent Femmes... really gotta revisit all their stuff
