I got linked a video filled with recs for good summertime JRPGs and I think that clinched it, my next main gaming project is Voice of Cards: The Forsaken Maiden. Beautiful tropical setting, fun ttrpg/bord game aesthetic (the map is sorta like a hex grid, but made of playing cards instead of... hexes, and the combat uses dice and little counters as indicators for damage rng and your party's collective MP equivalent), should be relatively quick (first game took me 17 hours and change, and I went back to get all the endings and do some postgame content), its a Yoko Taro game and I've heard nothing but amazing things about those (And the first one definitely lived up to the hype, it honestly reminded me of Dragon Quest but grimier. Fun and whimsical and a perfect example of my "Boring , in a cool way" fixation, plus darker than it looks on the surface, but a little bit moreso than most Dragon Quests (Or at least, most I've played, aside from the best ending)
