Okay so Dragon Quest IX has immaculate vibes, actually, I forgot how great the first hour was. This is definitely tied with VII for best opening. I haven't ever been able to get over what a great premise this game has, I don't think I've ever seen another rpg where you play as a literal guardian angel, and it does wonders for giving it that finishing touch of just a little bit of a unique twist that Dragon Quest always goes for

I want to hack my save and give myself the Celestrian class again just to keep that wings and halo icon on my PC. I don't think Celestrian gets to keep the wings and halo on your model in the main game, and there might be some weirdness with equipping armor where either everything is off limits or nothing is, but the idea is still tempting
