hey this is really random but... when was the last time anyone heard a Republican politician talk about repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act?
all this talk about Tucker Carlson being shitcanned made me remember the many days I spent as a middle school / high school kid watching Fox News with my far-right tradcath dad and my bitter ex-cop grandfather.
Those Fox News personalities never shut the fuck up about Obamacare back in the day. It was one of their core issues. Even during the early Trump administration, getting rid of the ACA was still a core part of the Republican platform. Our congressman, a jackass by the name of Tom MacArthur, lost his seat in 2018 following his high-profile role in the abortive attempts to repeal the ACA.
But we're now watching the prologue for the 2024 primary season and... it seems to not even be a significant issue anymore? What the fuck happened???
