hello, websurfer. you, too, can make this super easy recipe for dinner in a half hour. first you must live within driving distance of a world market...

There was a lot I never got to explore here. It was cool watching everyone else though. Maybe someday I'll open up like that too.

i always love watching cooking videos and then realizing how much i don't stock in my kitchen, how threadbare i keep it because i don't go through enough ingredients to justify stocking them, they'd just always go bad before i was even half done
like eggs. i don't cook much with eggs lol
i feel the same way about hobby and maker vids, like it's not exactly their fault but their overton window (is it correct to use this concept here?) has shifted so much that "beginner level" is having, like, $10k cnc machines or whatever and i'm like WELP
i mean to be fair, it is entirely my choice to not keep things like flour and eggs in the house and live on what amounts to a "just-in-time supply chain" for cooking where i buy what i need as i need it, though i also like. would never go through a dozen eggs in the time it woudl take before they go off, half dozens are expensive, etc
yeah i wish there was a better solution bc it's a vicious cycle of wanting to break out of the pattern for a night or two, realizing it will take $100 extra in groceries that will go bad within a week, then bein' like "y'know, hamburger helper is okay"
they make smaller portions of eggs but they are prohibitively priced and the price does not scale with quantity, because you "pay for convenience" with a half dozen
expanding the polycule to justify bulk egg purchases...
