frankly i still haven't gotten over New Horizon's primary mission. like. i remember looking up stuff on wikipedia as a kid and the best image of pluto was a smudgy render based on hubble data

watching the falcon heavy simultaneous booster landing was also moving. though it's a shame it was to launch some fucking debris. someone needs to free that launch provider from the hands of a rich idiot, it's in distress
💜 I vaguely remember artists' renditions of Pluto but not like actual images for the longest time, the New Horizons photos that were sent back has been with us for almost a decade now and it IS crazy to think that those images were relatively recent, with camera tech not from the 70s (although they were still impressive and stunning!)
Seeing the blurry render reminded me how ridiculously far away pluto is, let alone the next nearest star. Space is so damn big, aint it?
