A post about the pixel art and 3D texture work of artist Shunichi Taniguchi reminded me of this Fist of the North Star game he worked on, and I had to see this opening again.
Basically unheard of. Essentially demaking an entire hand-drawn anime opening sequence almost exactly scene-for-scene in rudimentary 3D and having it still perfectly capture the original vibe. It just has this air of "I don't know why they did this, and they probably didn't either." It looks like something an indie PS1-aesthetic game creator now would cook up for a fun tweet.
