i have a tagline for my cohost replacement blog:
You like actuallyalys. You've always liked posts. Don't you deserve the smooth, luxury takes of...Alys Plus?
finally a chance for me to have a website with alternative style sheets.
right now Alys++ just changes the fonts to use some webfonts that require extra bandwidth.
i'm currently trying to decide whether the various means for embedding comments in a static site are worth experimenting with.
i do have a couple of ideas to make it less burdensome to moderate:
- limiting comments to people i know already (probably using webmention to link to some other service or a whitelist of trusted email addresses)
- turning off comments on older posts
- requiring moderator approval for new comments
i've already decided:
- not disqus
- any JS used must be minimal
