we talk a lot about specific issues around social media like how twitter is filled with nazis or how there are echo chambers or how instagram encourages people to just post extremely polished moments of their lives and those are all important, but part of the issue with being Too Online is just that Online ends up displacing everything else.

I truly do not know how to just go up and talk to strangers hoping to make friends, and even if I did, going into spaces with lots of people is dangerous as someone who has to take a form of immunosuppressant. Not to mention the difficulty of getting places when I live in the suburbs and a physically disabled in a way that makes walking likely to hurt my leg and biking bang my knee on the frame of my bike repeatedly. Grass does not accept me, it really is just the internet for me.
