guess I haven't made an official I'm Unemployed post on here but hey! I'm still unemployed after being laid off at the start of May along with 2,000+ workers at the company I worked at.
I'm still exploring what I want my next career move to be, whether it'll be another unrelated dayjob to sustain making games in my free time, or if I'll work full-time in games.
I've self-published games since 2014 where I've developed narrative scripts, developed art, and done general technical troubleshooting. I've also worked in games on a freelance basis since 2016 doing narrative consultation, scripting, and design.
On the tech side of things, I have 5+ years of working as a research analyst and product specialist, using SQL and Python to pull queries and parse data about customer trends and financial numbers.
While I will be ok for a couple more months, if I don't find a job with benefits by September I will no longer have dental coverage and I'll have to revisit changing some of my prescriptions that are too expensive and not covered by healthcare here. I'd love to know of any upcoming opportunities (and even better, get referrals to some of those opportunities) and roles that could be a fit.
