If ever there was a time to lovingly describe something as ‘quirky’, now would be it. “When You Die You Go To Bed In Real Life” by Not Tom is an album that genuinely makes you feel like you’re in a dream, including all of the chaos and nonsensicality that would come along with it. Comprised of a mixture of chiptune fusion, electronic, acoustic, dolphin, and an exestential horror that’s actually pretty chill if you get to know them, each song is a wildly different experience from the last. From the intensely head-bobbable “BugQuest,” to the relaxing-yet-groovy “I’m Floaty in Space but That’s OK,” to the trippy, multi-faceted vibes that emanate from “Repose”, there is bound to be something here for everyone. “When You Die You Go To Bed In Real Life” is available on all major platforms, and you can find specific links to your platform of choice in the pair of tweets below.
