still thinking about @erysdren and "Quake OS"; boot straight into Quake. It's such a wonderful idea, and I still wonder how far one could go with that
like, it's the whole nightmare of VRML maybe bc why would u make a website you have to walk around and i guess that's why metaverse was stupid as hell, too: online shopping is fine as a page, not as an explorable VR world
but it would be interesting to see an OS built from the ground up to do basic tasks in a worldspace like Quake, like incorporate vim somehow and monsters could be filetypes you could walk around and maybe shoot to delete, and if you somehow got a network card up and going you could make an OS network where you could go around to other OS worlds set up differently and that would be a weird kind of ssh
