Just putting some thoughts down for now, not really looking to jump on something yet, but also not sure what to get, especially after my first e-bike, which sadly I kinda cheaped out on, and I got what I paid for. The battery died after two charges, and the company I bought it from vanished into the night.

Well, it's not like the bike is unusable now, but it's heavy as all-heck even without the battery pack, and I don't do downhill. Not sure why I even got this thing, thinking back on it. I guess I felt it was solid and maybe I'd even build some muscle lifting it around, heh. It was still pretty demoralizing knowing I chucked a chunk of cash into the toilet. I could've gotten a much nicer, lighter weight bike sans battery for the price.

I wish it wasn't such a risky investment for me. The instinct is to return to those days when I was a lot more outdoorsy, but it's more than likely I'd use one in a primarily commuter scenario, though maybe I'd like to at least go on some dirt roads once in a while, so I always gravitate towards MTB frames.

I'm older and wiser now, so I'm not going to make the same mistake of going as cheap as possible. The pressure to get things right this time is high, though. I'd rather not have to replace a bike within the first year of ownership.
