i used to; even though it didn't really provide any benefit and was just confusing to set up on all clients lol
I think it was a good idea - though like many netowork security technologies a judiciously applied packet sniffer lays waste to it.
I think the narrative shifted away from trying to obfuscate access to potentially insecure network resources, to just not exposing those resources in the first place.
Also "the cloud" happened.
It's still breathtaking to me that an entire tech industry convinced so many of us that there was something truly special and ethereal about storing a spreadsheet on some company's computer instead of our own PCs.
